Answer to this question is still awaited from the military tribunal this Tuesday, November 19, 2019.
As the story goes, Beza berist was arrested alongside her 80-year old mother, Grace Mafua Anu in Yaounde-Cameroon on August 4, 2019, according to media reports and the Government is accused of illegal arrest, detention and torture of Berist and mother.
Sources say they are supposedly arrested for crimes the Government of Cameroon believes the brothers; Chris Anu who is communication secretary of the self proclaimed interim government of Ambazonia and Field Marshal-leader of the separatist fighters in Lebialem, South West Region of Cameroon have committed against the state and in fueling the current sociopolitical crisis.
Since their arrest on August 4, their cases have been adjourned on 4 occasions and built again for the 19th of November. This leaves the public with no option than begin to believe they are prisoners just like many languishing in Cameroon’s dungeons without crimes. This, they say is Cameroon’s new strategy of arrest, detention under horrible conditions and later release at will and with no case and apology.
Berist is a widow who lost her husband few years after their marriage. She is one of cameroon’s finiest gospel artists who rose to fame after doing songs like never give up, i will testify, i am going through
Meantime, many wonder why fellow gospel artists and Christian family have been silent when such a gospel minister is behind bars
